A time for everything
Ecclesiastes 3
To everything THERE IS a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:
I had written this the morning of Wednesday, 9/10/25. God knows and understands all things, we don’t. One thing we can be sure of is that He is in control and He remains. Nothing takes Him by surprise. This was from my notes and I didn’t want to add or take anything away from it, so please excuse my grammar. I tried to clean that part up a bit. I wanted to keep it as it came to me.
A time. A season. For every single thing. Things come. Things go. Problems come. Problems go. Things don’t come to stay, they come to pass. As long as they do the work in and through you that God sent them to do. People come. People go. God remains. Times change. Seasons change. They do what they should in nature, let God do His work in you; His creation.
Times change. There is an appointed exact due date and time for everything that God has ALREADY set. He knew, and He spoke the end from the beginning. Why don’t we trust Him with our days? Listen, Jesus told us to pray like this (The Lord's Daily Prayer) because we can’t see past today or actually right here and right now, this very moment that we’re in. He can. We get calls, things change, plans prosper or don’t, so on and so forth. God remains. He is the only constant in this life.
He sets kings up. He tears kings down. Surely your life is in His hands. The Maker of Heaven and of Earth. The king's heart is in His hand. He hardened hearts for His benefit and He softens them too. Rest and be assured this one thing is true: He can do ANYTHING that He wants to, BUT, it’s in His time and way. He says His thoughts simply are not ours, nor are His ways, so we must get in alignment with Him, or out of line we are. Wanna be in the perfect will of God? Seek Him. Seek His way. Your will be done down here on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day…. Stop trying to do in advance what ONLY HE can do! He PROMISED to work all things out for your good (in His timing) IF, that is, you love and follow Him. If you are called according to His purpose, that is trusting in Him (His way, timing, and planning. Or else you could do it. Right???
HE alone changes the time and seasons, we (earth and all creation and heaven) are in His hands, therefore in and under His timing too.
The smallest family will become a thousand people, and the tiniest group will become a mighty nation. At the right time, I, the Lord, will make it happen.” Isaiah 60:22
He will make it happen right when He’s supposed to. When due, not one moment sooner or later and He is always on time, just not our time.
It came to pass!
Seasons change. If summer were always summer then things wouldn’t have life, and so we go through hard times to pass on to better ones - and learn lessons to grow. People and things teach us what we need to know but ultimately it is from the hand of God. Things last in seasons but they can change suddenly just like that, and that’s why we see times and seasons. Everything has an appointed time and yet everything has an expiration date. As my brother always said, it’ll continue to loop back around until you learn from it and it changes you as it was sent to do. Sometimes the lessons are for you and sometimes they’re from you. God is good and without sin but we live in a world of sin. He promised to be with us and to work it all out for our good and His glory, because He is God alone. Period.
We read about a time for this and a time for that. It all does what it’s supposed to as long as we work with God and not against Him.
Try as you want to. We need God, for He has the Master plan and ONLY with Him can we stand.
We can strive and plan all we want to. In fact, MANY are our plans, but in the end, we loop back around and always find it’s His that stands. So seek Him. Follow Him.
We also see that:
He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end. Ecclesiastes 3:11
HE HAS, we haven’t. We are a work in progress, you and I, and His creation is good. We are created after His very own image.
“Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day.” Genesis 1:31
God makes no mistakes. He has perfected creation. He gave it to you; for you. But He is still perfecting you and me. We are made in the image of God, therefore we are perfect in his sight, but he is teaching us one day at a time.
No one can find out the work that God has done from the beginning to the end, so we learn to rejoice and just do good as long as we live - one day at a time. Trusting him step by step, day by day.
So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:11
His words won’t fall flat and can’t fall flat. If He said it, He will do it and if He planned it, it’ll happen - no matter what anyone says does, or wants. God is God and we are not. If he gave you a promise, then hold on tight to it! He goes before you.
I declare the end from the beginning, and from ancient times what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and all My good pleasure I will accomplish.’ Isaiah 46:10
I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, who is and was and is to come—the Almighty. Revelation 1:8
Period.
Trust in God and lean on Him - and not to your own understanding, for it all comes from and through Him.
Who created Him? No one! So, we must trust in Him Who was, and is, and is to come. The Word tells us on down in verse 15 of Ecclesiasties 3 that, that whatever has already been, and that which will be, has already been! But God remains the same. He comes to help us and teach us.
Nothing lasts forever except God. Even heaven and earth shall fade away.
He’s already been before us and spoke the end from the beginning, so therefore it’s already been and nothing surprises Him.
Matthew 24 34 Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened 35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
The Day and Hour Unknown
36 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. 37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.
He promised to create a new heaven and earth and so He will, BUT WE DO NOT KNOW THE TIME. The fact is, His words will never pass away. What He says, He does. He made you. He promised to sustain you, and provide for you and make a way for you. He said He makes everything beautiful in its time and there’s a time and season for everything. He promised to work all things out for your good. He promised to never leave you, or ever forsake you. That is a promise that He will keep and you can hang onto.
This is why we fix our eyes on what is not seen rather than seen. God is eternal, we are not. He knew our ending from our very beginning and we must trust that. And trust in Him to make all things right in their timing, the right timing; His timing.
Look in verse 17 of Ecclesiasties 3 and you’ll see that God will surely judge both the righteous and the wicked. For there is again a time appointed for every matter, indeed, every single matter under heaven. God tests us to know us as He already knows us, but we must know what He knows about us, and to see if we were faithful to Him. We all have the same fate, (but not the same fate) all of this (down here) ends. It’s not how we begin, but how we end. So while you’re here, not only do good but trust God and lean into to Him. It’s only in Christ alone - you can’t live this life on your own without Him, and nothing else matters.
Rest assured that there’s a time and season for everything, appointments and expirations - and it’s gonna happen in His time. So, surrender to his timing, will and plan. Get in alignment with Him and you’ll see the hand of God moving in your situation, in your life and those around you. Be encouraged today that there is a time and there is a season. Let the season change you for when the time comes. He will make it right. Be ready, amen.

At the right time (in His time) He will make it happen, so enjoy your life while you’re young and do good as long as you live.
It’s already been passed this way before. No surprise to him. He spoke it from the beginning so what He said will come and pass, rest in Him.
God will (not if) judge both evil and good, for again there is a time for every single matter and every single deed. He has already and therefore will make everything beautiful in it’s time. It’s already been said. He’s already been there. He won’t fail me now. Thank God my life is in His hands. I am already beautiful to Him, but soon my situation will be.
No one knows what God’s about to do so be ready when it happens. It’s due. He may speak to you and tell you that He’ll fix it, but it’s not your thoughts and timing. He’s able to do exceedingly abundantly and open doors before us.
