Fear NOT. For I am with you.

DON’T “let” your fear lead you into sin and get the best of you, for it’ll try and take everything that He has given you. That which you have and have not obtained yet, and are actively obtaining too. See John 10:10

Therefore was he hired, that I should be afraid, and do so, and sin, and that they might have matter for an evil report, that they might reproach me. Nehemiah 6:13

Nehemiah was wise to see the truth of what was actually trying to be done, and that the enemy was trying to do. Fear is just a liar and was sent to hinder him. The enemy tries to sprinkle some truth in a lie to convince us but it’s not truth! That’s why it’s called a lie. Fear is a liar. Fear: False Evidence Appearing Real. But it’s NOT.

It’s sent to get the best of you. Satan (our real enemy) wants to stop you dead in your tracks. He wants to paralyze and grip you with fear so bad that you’ll not complete what God sent you to do! Because even HE KNOWS it’s true. He knows Who and What’s in you. The real question is: DO YOU?

Do not be deceived or misled. You and I must know this truth and need the spirit of David to rise up in us. We are clearly told over and over: DO NOT FEAR. Period. It will lead you into sin.

Isaiah 41:10

So do not fear, for I am with you;

    do not be dismayed, for I am your God.

I will strengthen you and help you;

    I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

That’s a promise He will keep.

And He has. And He does. And He always will. As long as I cling to Him. He clings to me. He upholds me with His righteous right hand even when I can’t seem to hold on. He won’t let me fall. Lean in.

Not that fear itself is sin, but it’s a liar and leads you into sin (of lies that you believe) and away from the truth.

  • “I, the LORD, have called You in righteousness, And will hold Your hand; I will keep You and give You as a covenant to the people, As a light to the Gentiles. Isaiah 42:6

Whom shall I fear???? To keep it short and simple: IF GOD be for me, and He is (He has shown me time and time again), who in this world can be against me!? No one. No thing!

What has He set you out to do? Follow faith! Not fear! Greater is He that is LIVING inside of you, truly! Compared to Him in the world, they are as nothing. Fear God only! It’s a reverential kind of fear. A healthy kind of fear that fears not to obey. Is scared not to obey rather than to disobey! It knows and believes Your truth and therefore refuses to be ruled by unhealthy and unruly fear. We can’t accomplish anything great fearing like this. We must fear Him. Fear itself is not sin, only to succumb to it is, because it’ll eventually lead you into sin.

That’s why it’s one of the biggest things and the Bible says it one time for each day: “DO NOT FEAR” (or succumb to it). EVERY ONE feels fear but not everyone chooses faith. God is with you! God is for me this I know and again, He has us by the hand and we are in the palm of His hand. So, I only fear to not do His will and only fear to not do the things that I’ll regret. We are COMMANDED to not fear. It should not be optional! What does He tell us in Joshua 1:9 what to do and what not to do???  One leads us into faith and action, the other into fear and inaction, or action in the other wrong direction - away from faith and God. Anything that is not of faith is sin.

Just do it. Feel the fear and do it anyway, IF you know in your heart it’s the right thing to do. Yes, USE wise fear and discernment. Ask for it and use it too! Don’t have a dumb fearlessness! It’ll lead you into sin. Avoid all extremes.

  • 13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the WHOLE DUTY of man. Ecclesiastes 12:13

My God, REMEMBER Tobiah and Sanballat, according to these their works, and the prophetess Noadiah and the rest of the prophets who would have made me afraid. Nehemiah 6:14

Nehemiah was wise enough to know that fear would cause him to sin. He asked God to remember his enemies and those who would try to taunt him, so that he could finish his job and not focus on them. He left the part that he couldn’t do and was never called to do, To Him Who could! It’ll Only distract you from the task at hand. The job was finished because Nehemiah was faithful to trust God and not give into fear. God made us a promise that only He could, He can and He will full-fill.

  • Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Romans 12:19

This was one of those things that only God could do. Don’t busy yourself with the enemy so much that you forget where you’re going! That’s what he wants to do, busy you. Do not forget what He called you and sent you to do. Stay In your lane. Turn it over to God and turn it loose. Only be wise to see this. If it’s in His hands, then it’s all safe with and for you. Weapons will form but they won’t prosper. Every tongue that rises against you, you shall condemn! 10,000 may fall at your right and left but it won’t come near you. These are the wonderful and faithful promises of God. He will command His angels over you concerning you in all your ways, when you trust Him and walk accordingly. Then, He has promised to work all things for your good because you do trust and love Him and because you do walk accordingly to His ways; not accidentally or stumble into them.

Purposely live! God wants you to! He remembers and won’t forget that which they did to you or what He promised you. He will repay and give, in His time and way. Mean time, He keeps you, so keep your eyes on Him and off of fear.

  • They were all trying to frighten us, thinking, “Their hands will get too weak for the work, and it will not be completed.” But I prayed, “Now strengthen my hands.” Nehemiah 6:9

“You’ve come too far to turn back now.”

We need the strength of God to endure.

Those that wait upon the Lord, HE WILL renew their strength. Nehemiah was also wise to ASK GOD TO strengthen His hands because HE KNEW that they all just wanted to frighten them and the work they set out to do. Thinking they’d become so discouraged with the work and it wouldn’t be done or completed! But think again! IF GOD BE for you, who in this world can be against you? NO ONE. NO THING. He called us to complete the task at hand and HE IS greater in you than what’s against you, and MY GOD, HE IS mighty to save!

  • And it happened, when all our enemies heard of it, and all the nations around us saw these things, that they were very disheartened in their own eyes; for they perceived that this work was done by our God. Nehemiah 6:16

Nehemiah later gave credit to God and that the enemy too knew that their confidence was lost because even they recognized that this work had been accomplished with the help of their God. God doesn’t do it all Himself. He works in and through us, His vessels and temples. We are workers of God. HIS POWER IS AT WORK IN AND FOR US. As Zechariah put it, it’s not by might nor by power but by Your Spirit God. Send Your Spirit God. We need you and we are helpless without you. We need SUPER NATURAL strength and insight that only comes from You. Give us wisdom, show us what to do.

  • But I said, “Should a man like me run away? Or should someone like me go into the temple to save his life? I will not go!” I realized that God had not sent him, but that he had prophesied against me because Tobiah and Sanballat had hired him. Nehemiah 6:11-12

FEAR IS A LIAR. We are MORE THAN conquers through Him Who loves us. Don’t run from Him or what He called you to do. Run to!

We seek guidance and knowledge, and understanding too. You said YOU’D give wisdom and give it liberally to all who ask. We need discernment and insight that only You have to give. To see not only Your power but the traps and snares of the enemy that’s set before us and behind us. Like Elijah prayed for his servant to see and saw, “Oh Lord, open our eyes not only to the battle but Your angel army all around” us so that we do not cave into into fear. We’re here to win.

We must keep walking it out with You. We can do all of these things because You give us strength to sustain us and keep us going. Philippians 1:6 tells us that You will for us to finish what You started with in us because it says You’ll complete that which You started. It’s all according to that power that’s at work in us! Your power. Your will.

It may not always be easy, but it’s worthy!

Continue to strengthen our hands for the task at hand and then the next, and the next, and so on. To fight the good fight of faith until Your return. We have work to do! “Father God, Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” The kingdom Is within us we are building something far greater for eternity and we do not build alone. So we must not fear for He is within us. This I know. In Jesus Mighty Name, He is on my side (with me, in me and for me.) He took my place. Therefore now, it’s Christ in me. Amen.
