Finishing what you start

God finishes what He starts and desires to do good work for you.

  • “The LORD has kept the promise He made. I have succeeded David, my father, and now I sit on the throne of Israel, JUST AS THE LORD PROMISED, and I have built the temple for the Name of the LORD, the God of Israel.” 2 Chronicles 6:10

  • YOU HAVE KEPT YOUR PROMISE to your servant David my father; with Your mouth You have promised and with Your hand YOU HAVE FULFILLED IT —as it is today. 2 Chronicles 6:15

  • Now I have come to explain to you WHAT WILL HAPPEN to your people in the future, for the vision concerns ——> A TIME YET TO COME.” Daniel 10:14

First God speaks, then He performs. If promises and commitments are important to Him, they should be to us too. We are created after His very own image, and we are His. He keeps His promises. May we keep our end. ➿

If finishing is important to Him, it should be to us too. Don’t quit in order to win.

Don’t despise the day of small beginnings, but don’t forget to end. As we see the dedication of the temple that Solomon built, the wall Nehemiah started and finished, the delivery of the Jews that God promised as they celebrated what He finished, so He desires to do and finish what He first spoke into you.

First, He speaks with His mouth and then He performs with His hands. He makes good on His promises every. single. time. BUT, it’s for a time due. It speaks of the END. We should work with our hands, be doers of the word while we wait, and do what we said we’d do so that He can complete it in us. It takes cooperation. Better is the end of a matter than the beginning. So, if you’re not there, He’s not finished yet. Yes, He’s always doing a new work in us, but He’s also trying to complete the last one.

Don’t quit in the middle, you never know how close you are to the end. The middles are where we learn, so we can truly appreciate where we are going when we get to. We can keep our eye on the prize and goal like Paul did, as we strain ahead as runners do, but we don’t lose our footing in the middle. Even if you cross the line, scratched up and bloody, it’s important that you endure… Don’t back down because we aren’t like those who shrink back in fear, but of those who press forward IN FAITH.

I don’t know what battle you’re in, fear you’re facing or goal that you’re trying to obtain but God does! We’re all in this together, and we are all fighting the good fight of faith. Those who endure til the end shall be saved. It is a fight, but we’re already predestined to win. 🥊 🏆 He has set you up for victory, not failure, but you and I must use our faith to win. Eyes on what’s ahead of you, not behind you, to finish well. Looking back will trip you up every time. Only forward will do. (Exodus 14:15-16).

Let’s keep going and endure. Pressing onward… We’re better together. Keep the promises you make to yourself. God keeps His promises to you. Stay committed and Stay the course in front of you. He is faithful to finish what He starts.
